Preschools
I know there are few on here with preschool age kids, and even fewer in Hyrum... but I was hoping somebody has heard something or knows someone:
I'm looking for a preschool for my little four year old. She doesn't turn five until December, so she can't go to kindergarten until next year. (Note: I only plan on her going to school for now and next year, then we'll be joining the homeschooling community.) I found one here called 'Little Hands Preschool' that is $60/month, three days a week for three hours. (Good price?) Her name is Barbara and it goes from Labor Day to Memorial Day. Anybody heard of her or another suggestion for someone in this area?
Thanks for any info

Re: Preschools
I'm probably not much help but when I was studying early childhood development at Boise State we observed a Montessori school (they start at age two and can go all the way up to high school) It's a really good program and I know there is one here in the valley. It's where I'd like to send Christian when he's old enough. I'm not sure on their price but IMO it's definitely worth looking into.

Thanks for another option! Its in the center of town, though, and I was looking for something more close to home. We've decided to send her to Little Hands Preschool in Hyrum and she starts right after Labor Day. I'll let you all know how it goes!

Re: Preschools
I put Kaylee this past year in a preschool run by a woman in Nibley. It was $50/month and she went 2 times a week for 2 hours. The lady was so nice and she really learned a lot. If you want more info let me know.

Re: Preschools
This one that Brielle will be starting is $55/mo for 3 days a week for 3 hours. And a little closer than Nibley. Thanks, though!!

Re: Preschools
Wow--what are the age requirements for preschools generally?♠

Re: Preschools
This one does two classes:
3-4 year olds
4-5 year olds preparing for kindergarten the following year
But I'm sure it just depends on the school/teacher. Next year she'll be old enough for kindergarten (she doesn't turn 5 until after Sept. 1st). But after that my youngest two will be old enough that I can get back on track with homeschooling.
